Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a time to talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. Dr. Chauhan will ask questions to better understand your concerns, background, and current challenges. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss goals, expectations, and next steps. The focus is on helping you feel comfortable, understood, and supported.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Virtual therapy sessions are available for individuals who prefer remote appointments or are unable to attend in person. Virtual sessions follow the same professional standards as in-person therapy.
Can therapy help if I am not sure what is wrong?
Yes. Many people begin therapy without a clear label for what they are experiencing. Therapy can help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and clarify what changes may be helpful moving forward.
What if my schedule changes?
Scheduling changes can be discussed directly with Dr. Chauhan. Efforts are made to be flexible when possible, and policies regarding rescheduling or cancellations will be clearly explained in advance.
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO plans, Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, Aetna, Gravie, Humana, PHCS, and GEHA. We also work with out of network plans. If you have out of network benefits, we can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement. Self pay clients are welcome as well. If you have questions about your specific plan, please contact the office and we will be happy to help.
